The Fore! Maryknoll School Golf Tournament began 23 years ago on the Pearl Country Club Golf Course overlooking Pearl Harbor. With the help of Maryknoll Alumni, Friends, and Families, the tournament has raised funds for Maryknoll School every year. During those 2 decades, we have seen the tournament moved to Leilehua GC, Ewa Beach GC, and Hawaii Prince GC. This year we are going back for our 2nd consecutive year to Pearl CC, where it all started.
In the last few years, the Alumni Association and volunteer parents, faculty, and students have helped to raise money for student programs, clubs, and athletic teams. These programs, clubs, and athletic teams have been given the opportunity to receive a share of the proceeds by setting up food and refreshment booths throughout the course and provide a fun atmosphere for our golf participants.
The classes, teams, and clubs have been able to use the funds to help with outer-island preseason trips, travel costs, and purchase classroom supplies, sports apparel and practice equipment. The student clubs, project grad and mentoring program have also used the funds for travel costs and expenses they incur that parents would otherwise have to pay out of pocket.
This year, we hope to raise more money through increased sponsorship, to help us raise funds for programs within the school that need our help
The Fore! Maryknoll School Golf Tournament continues to help with these costs and also provide raised moneys to the annual school fund. You can help by serving on the committee, volunteering on the course, participate in our tournament, donate prizes, and becoming a major sponsor.
